Arrive at your New Hampshire hotel in the mid afternoon with time to relax, get oriented to your surroundings and to enjoy DINNER at a local restaurant this evening. Tonight take an EVENING MOOSE TOUR. See these gentle giants in their natural habitat on a three hour riding tour. Your next day takes you deep into the WHITE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL FOREST through the “gilded era” of Grand Hotels to the multi-uses of the forest today. Revel in the unsurpassed scenery of the KANCAMAGUS NATIONAL SCENIC BYWAY, the first such designated byway in the east, BEAR NOTCH ROAD, a scenic 9 mile “shortcut” with three overlooks, CRAWFORD NOTCH STATE PARK, with photo stops at SILVER CASCADE, and above the notch at the ELEPHANT HEAD natural rock formation. Today enjoy an ELEGANT LUNCH and TOUR MOUNT WASHINGTON RESORT LUXURY HOTEL. After lunch continue on through the scenic village of Bethlehem, with eclectic mix of summer cottage architecture, including the Main Street summer cottage of Barbara Hutten and Cary Grant. Ride the AERIAL TRAMWAY to the top of Cannon Mountain. Spectacular rugged mountain scenery with a short loop trail around the summit showing off the towering peaks of the Franconia and Kinsman mountain ranges, with views of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Canada. DINNER on your own this evening. Day three includes a Lake Cruise on LAKE WINNIPESAUKE (one of the largest lakes enclosed in one state), aboard the 230’ M/S MOUNT WASHINGTON. Your journey on the ship brings you to the port of Wolfeboro, The Oldest Summer Resort in America. LUNCH ON YOUR OWN and shopping in the delightful lakeside resort town of Wolfeboro. After lunch tour the WRIGHT MUSEUM - a museum about the World War II years with both war exhibits such as aircraft and tanks, and exhibits from everyday life. You will also visit to The OLD COUNTRY STORE in Moultonborough a store since 1781. In the late afternoon arrive at the MEREDITH STATION. Board the WINNIPESAUKEE SCENIC RAILROAD for a two hour trip along Lake Winnipesauke. Ride the rails while eating HARTS HOT ROAST TURKEY carved at your table with all the trimmings! On your last day choose the BUDWEISER FACTORY TOUR or a visit and meet the world-famous BUDWEISER CLYDESDALES when you visit the Clydesdale Hamlet, OR visit the CANTERBURY SHAKER VILLAGE.
